Update: A member of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office confirmed Saturday to KMTV that a man driving a white Toyota Corolla was killed in Friday's crash near 186th and State St.
Investigators are working to identify the man using DNA testing and dental records. They are also searching through missing persons reports filed Friday night.
An I.D. on the man is expected Monday.
Original Story: An official with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office confirmed to KMTV that one person was killed in a crash near 186th and State St. on Friday evening.
According to DCSO, the car hit a tree and then caught fire.
Officials said they found a body inside the driver's seat.
DCSO officials added the car was badly burned that the license plates are unreadable.
Authorities say that weather was a factor in the crash.
At this time, the area nearby was blocked off until late Friday evening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
