OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — One of the newest members of the Omaha Police Department is already making an impact on area kids.

K-9 Peace is a two-year-old yellow lab and can detect more than more than 19,000 types of explosives, firearms, shell casings, and live ammo. She also joins her partner, officer Dan Torres, on visits to area schools.

Peace and Torres made a huge impression on second graders at Montclair Elementary School, and they responded by sending thank you notes, seen in the tweet above!
