The Salvation Army was not the only group helping the less fortunate Monday.
By Eppley Airfield, the Open Door Mission had volunteers taking out food, hygiene kits and winter weather gear. Managers say the Lydia House where families stay is overflowing and they expect those numbers to continue rising as temperatures fall.
