OPPD doing plant work in North Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — OPPD wants to remind you of some plant work in North Omaha today that may produce some noise.

Routine maintenance work is scheduled for the North Omaha Station at 7475 Pershing Drive over the next few days, which will produce loud and unusual noises. The work is necessary to maintain plant reliability and efficiency.

Cleaning of the plant’s storage bins will take place today through 6 p.m., weather permitting. Additional cleaning work may also be needed tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Also, trucks, which could produce occasional loud noises, will be used during this work on a 24-hour basis through Tuesday night.

OPPD mentions that they will try and do everything they can to minimize inconveniences to those living near the plant, but the noises may be unavoidable. They ensure those in the vicinity that the work will be completed as quickly and safely as possible.
