Eleven systems work together in our bodies so we can eat, fight illness, breathe, move and function, it's complex and a traveling exhibit now in Omaha is helping us understand using preserved bodies.
In total, there's 15 whole body specimens and 49 display cases with roughly 110 specimens and organs. Everything in the "Our Body" exhibit has been preserved through a process where researchers replace the body's water and fat with reactive plastic.
The "Our Body" exhibit is on display in the Captiol District until July 31.
