Oversized loads banned from Nebraska highways during eclipse

The state of Nebraska is telling big rigs to steer clear of the highway for a four-day stretch surrounding the Aug. 21 total solar eclipse.

The ban is officially from sunset on Aug. 18 until sunrise on Aug. 22.

It is an attempt to reduce congestion on roads that will see heavy traffic around the time of the eclipse.

Oregon and Wyoming have similar bans during the eclipse.
