OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 44-year-old woman sustained a life-threatening head injury after being hit by an unknown vehicle near S 52nd St.
Officers responded to the area at 9:53 p.m. Saturday.
Investigation revealed a vehicle, described as a late model sedan--possibly white or silver in color, was traveling northbound on S 52nd St when it struck 44-year-old Mandy Embury.
Embury was crossing S 52nd St from west to east, not in a marked crosswalk.
The sedan failed to stop after hitting Embury, police say. She suffered a serious, life-threatening head injury.
Omaha Fire Department medics transported Embury to Nebraska Medicine.
The investigation is ongoing.
