FREMONT, Neb. (KMTV) — An incident this morning at the Costco chicken hatchery construction site in Fremont has led to the death of one person, and another critically injured.
Fremont fire and rescue was called to the plant around 9:30 this morning. A medical helicopter transported the injured worker to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy in Omaha.
Authorities say the accident involved a fall from a scissors lift. The victim, a 56-year-old male, fell approximately 40 feet from a basket.
The incident is currently being investigated by OSHA. The investigation is ongoing.
