Police make an arrest in June shooting/murder

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department (OPD) says they've made an arrest in a June shooting that left one person dead and the other injured.

On June 23, 2019, police were on patrol near 33rd and Seward Streets when they heard multiple gunshots. After arriving at 3216 Seward, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

24-year-old Jal Dak Kun died while 25-year-old Nyoun Joak survived.

OPD says 23-year-old Bol Kueth has been arrested and booked into Douglas County Corrections for the murder of Jal Dak Kun. He has been charged with first-degree murder.
