Omaha Police have made an arrest in the January 2017 shooting and killing of Ashlyn Higgins.
In a joint collaboration between the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force and the US Marshals Kansas City Task Force, 21-year-old Taliaferro Thompson was arrested in Kansas City Wednesday.
Additionally, Higgins' boyfriend at the time, Parris Stamps, was also shot on Jan. 26, 2017. Stamps survived.
There was a warrant issued for Thompson's arrest in July of 2017.
