Pott Co. honors one of their own lost in line of duty

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Today marks a sad anniversary for the Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office. In honor of fallen Deputy Mark Jason Burbridge, they put out some memorial images on social media.

In 2017, Burbridge was shot and killed by an inmate who was being transported for a court appearance. His killer led police on a police chase that crossed into Omaha and gained national attention.

Burbridge is survived by a wife and children.
