RALSTON, Neb. (KMTV) -- — Losing events and not being open is taking a major toll on some of the metro’s veteran organizations.
The American Legion Post 373 in Ralston is contemplating whether to sell their building, lease it, or keep it.
On Monday night members decided they want to get a financial analysis done before a final decision.
The Ralston Legion building is on the south-side of the Ralston Arena, and they say they haven’t been able to be open or hold any events since the start of March. Plus the bills are piling up.
“Knowing some of the members that have been here for 40 plus years, 50 plus years and talking to them it’s going to be heartbreaking for them because they’ve been a part of this building for this legion since they got out of the military,” said Lynn Bergman, Executive Board Adjutant of the American Legion Post 373.
If they do move out they still want to keep their charter.
