OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha police booked Keven Solorzano, 18, on suspicion of attempted murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony charges in connection with Wednesday's incident of shots fired at OPD officers.

They also arrested three juveniles on charges of Aiding and Abetting and Tampering with Evidence. Police need the public's help locating Esai Pinales, 16, who was involved and may be in danger.

He's 5, 10", weighs 190 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Police say two detectives and an intern were working in Southeast Omaha to recover video for an unrelated investigation. Due to their assignment, they were in plain clothes and riding in an unmarked cruiser.

They observed a couple of men run from behind a home in the area of 17th and Arbor and get into a silver Honda Accord.

The officers then followed the car and asked for back-up. Police later learned the individuals had tagged a building with gang graffiti.

The detectives followed the Honda to the area of 14th and Hickory Street.

While following the car, the front passenger's hands motioned to the detectives to get closer.

The car went through an alley, approached Pine and turned westbound.

At this time, those in the front of the car fired gunshots at the officers' car in front of a home at 1314 Pine Street.

Police say the car was hit twice near the front bumper and front quarter panel.

Authorities located the vehicle in the area of 7th and Bancroft and made a traffic stop.

All four people in the car were taken into custody for questioning.

Witnesses told police that the occupants of the Honda Accord had knowledge that others at the home had firearms.

The driver of the silver car used a cell phone to call someone at the home and advised that rival gang members or police officers were following them and requested for armed individuals at the home to intervene.

Six casings and one firearm were recovered from the scene during the investigation.
