The Siena Francis House did its part Sunday helping veterans facing homelessness in the area by delivering backpacks with daily essentials.
The backpack drive was organized by Bellevue University, Guitars for Vets and the Wounded Warrior Project.
In total, 75 backpacks were stuffed with shampoo, warm winter gloves and other essential items. The backpacks were presented to the veterans Sunday at the Siena Francis House's Veterans Day celebrations.
