A suspect is in custody and another man has died after last night’s shooting near 36th and H Streets in Omaha.
Police have identified the victim as 21-year-old Oziel Vazquez-Serrano.
OPD arrived on scene around 6:30pm last night and saw Vazquez-Serrano lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Nebraska Medicine where he was pronounced dead.
Police located and booked the suspect, 21-year-old Benjamin Guevara, into Douglas County Corrections for 1-st degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
