The suspect La Vista Police said exchanged gunfire with officers Thursday during a brief chase was released from Midlands Hospital on Friday and was subsequently booked into the Sarpy County Jail, according to a police press release.
Jonathan Grund, 25, was booked on the following felony charges:
- Possession of a firearm by a felon
- Use of a weapon to commit a felony
- Terroristic threats
- Two counts of burglary
- Attempted first-degree assault
Grund also faces an additional misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, the La Vista Police report states.
Police also released details of searches conducted at the home where police initially contacted Grund as well as a vehicle found in the driveway that had been reported stolen, according to the release.
La Vista Police detectives found several stolen items in the car and are working to locate owners of the stolen property, the report states.
The criminal investigation is ongoing, as is the investigation into the officer's use of force.
