OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Waiting Room Lounge has announced to our partners at the Omaha World-Herald that they will stop hosting local rap artists after a deadly shooting after an August 8th show.

Our news partners at the Omaha World-Herald report that national artists will still perform at The Waiting Room, according to co-owner Marc Leibowitz. He adds that it's easier to figure out the track record of touring rap artists and their crowds compared with local artists who play in fewer live venues.

A few more local rap artists are scheduled for shows at the adjoining Reverb Lounge, and once shows are done, Leibowitz says that venue will also cease hosting local rap, according to the World-Herald.
