Traffic deaths at six-year high in Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Nebraska Department of Transportation has released a report of traffic fatalities across the state. This year tops both the previous-five-year average and past-five-year total.

So far, there have been 195 traffic deaths. The previous-five-year average was 178 and the monthly average was six. Nine people have died on Nebraska roads this month.
