If you're heading to the remaining Huskers home football games, expect to see the Nebraska State Patrol.
Troopers will continue their special enforcement efforts during the remaining four Husker home games. During the first three Huskers games, troopers wrote 119 tickets and warnings for speeding, one each for DUI and driving under suspension, and two for no seat belts. Troopers will work overtime for the special traffic details during the football games thanks in part to a $4,300 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
Troopers remind drivers that traffic increases during Husker home games, and fans traveling to and from Memorial Stadium can expect congestion and delays.
