At least two races in Omaha could face automatic recounts.

In State's 10th Senate District, more than 15,000 people voted but only 37 votes separate Wendy Deboer and Matt Deaver.

The Douglas County Assessor's race could also qualify for a recount. As of noon Wednesday, incumbent Democrat Diane Battiato leads Republican challenger Walt Peffer by just over 100 votes.

By state law, any large race that ends within one percent is recounted.
