Two separate shootings leave several hospitalized, one dead overnight

Two separate shooting locations sent victims to a hospital while one person died, according to investigators.

Omaha police responded to the South Omaha restaurant Guaca Maya, near 33rd and Q streets and found two shooting victims in the parking lot. Omaha Police identified the deceased victim as Franco Gonzalez-Mendez, 23. Additionally, 22-year-old Edgar Gonzalez-Martinez was critically injured. 

Moments later, officers responded to another shooting location near 24th and Taylor streets.

Police say a black female approached a car and suffered multiple gunshot wounds. She was sent to the hospital in critical condition and later identified as 20-year-old Lanisha Hughes. 

All victims are being treated at Nebraska Medicine.
