Unemployment down and flights up in Omaha for May

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Greater Omaha Chamber shared a report today, highlighting economic trends in Omaha for May compared to April.

It says passenger enplanements were up a whopping 206 percent at Eppley Airfield.

In addition to more flights being booked, unemployment also saw a positive shift with 10,900 jobs being created and the unemployment dropping from 6.2 percent, compared to 9.9 percent in April.
