OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — One guest was discharged from the National Quarantine Unit Wednesday while another was cleared to be discharged, according to UNMC/Nebraska Medicine.
Eight of the original 15 Americans from the Diamond Princess cruise ship remain, with seven in the National Quarantine Unit and one in the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit.
UNMC/Nebraska Medicine said the testing regimen will continue with a possibility of more departures later this week.
"As preparation continues for the possible spread of the virus in Nebraska, it is advisable to review business continuity plans and consider what measures will be necessary if a large portion of staff must stay home from work. Families should make plans for the possible closing of schools and day cares," UNMC/Nebraska Medicine said in Wednesday's update.

Eleven people have died of coronavirus in the United States, all connected to a nursing home in Washington State.
There's a total of 148 cases in the United States as of Wednesday.
Internationally, there are more than 94,000 cases and over 3,200 deaths.
