UPDATE: Two arrested in Texas for 72nd & Maple homicide

Update, July 13 

Two suspects in the homicide of Omaha man Billy Walker were taken into custody without incident by the U.S. Marshals Service in the Southern District of Texas, according to a release. 

Twenty-seven-year-old Milea Ixta and 29-year-old Adrian Ixla are being held in the Harris County Jail in Houston pending extradition to Omaha. 

This is an on-going investigation.

Omaha police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old man as a homicide.

Investigators were called to the Caravelle Townhomes, southwest of 72nd & Maple streets, around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers say they found Billy Allen Walker, who had been shot at the scene east of Benson Gardens Boulevard and Miami Plaza. Walker was transported to CHI Health Creighton University Center Bergen Mercy shortly thereafter, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
