OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A 61-year-old man driving a utility vehicle died Monday morning near Prague after failing to stop and being struck by a minivan.
At approximately 9:33 a.m., the Saunders County Sheriff's Office and the Prague Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene of the crash near the intersection of County Road 25 & S, two miles northeast of Prague.
Authorities say an eastbound 2019 Polaris Ranger utility vehicle, driven by 61-year-old Chris J. Tepoel, didn't stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2016 Honda Odyssey Minivan driven by Laura L. Lancaster, 33.
Tepoel, the lone occupant of the utility vehicle, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Lancaster and two small children were treated and released at the scene, according to the Saunders County Sheriff's Office.
Seat belts were used in the minivan.
