Lincoln Police have identified the two people who were shot Monday afternoon.

Police say 32 year old Christopher Coleman was killed and 21 year old Jerry Griffis was critically wounded in the shooting at a home near 20th and Euclid. A dog was also wounded in the gunfire and later died.  The shooting happened about a block from Prescott Elementary School which was briefly on lockdown.

Three children ages 5,3, and 1 were in the house but were not injured. Police say Coleman was the father of at least two of the children. No arrests have been reported.

Police say this does not appear to be a random act, and they do not believe there is a threat to the public.
