PLATTSMOUTH — Workers at the waste water treatment plant in Plattsmouth are being evacuated due to rising waters from the Missouri River.
Plattsmouth emergency crews have been shuttling workers to higher ground. At least one person also was rescued from Morehead Island Recreational Park.
Plattsmouth officials say the treatment plant itself has been secured and there is currently no concern about sewage flowing out into the river.
