OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — We have a warning this morning to stay away from the Missouri River.

The Department of Natural Resources has allowed the city of Council Bluffs to discharge up to 200,000 gallons of untreated wastewater into the river.

The city said they made the request to repair a collapsed sewer pipe. People and pets are being advised to stay away from the Missouri River downstream of the Dodge Park Stormwater Pump for the next 48-hours.
