Omaha mayor Jean Stothert announced a tentative agreement with the Omaha Police Officers Association on a new contract on Monday afternoon.
During a news conference Monday afternoon, the mayor laid out the labor agreement.
It was announced that officers would receive a 14 and a half percent raise between the years 2016 and 2020.
OPD officers would also move to a high-deductible health insurance plan.
This comes after the union for Omaha police officers says it was dealing with a hiring crisis.
