The Westside School Board voted 5-0 Monday to approve a new policy on how students can honor their deceased classmates.
According to our partners at the Omaha World-Herald, there will be no empty chairs at graduation, no school dances or football games dedicated to the deceased and memorial plaques "should be avoided."
The policy also states that memorial services on school grounds will not be allowed.
