BLAIR, Neb. (KMTV) — A group of veterans from Brookestone of Papillion met up at Blair Airport Friday.

The veterans flew in a PT-17, a plane that was commissioned during World War II. These "Dream Flights" offers seniors the chance to share memories and stories.

Bob Johnson, who served from 1956 to 1959, was among the veterans participating in the special flight experience.

Since 2011, the "Dream Flights" program has flown nearly 8,000 veterans from airports across the United States.
