Two-year-old Lane Thomas Graves was attacked by an alligator while on a family vacation at Disney world.
He was building sandcastles.
In that loss, lanes parents, in their privacy, have built something for the community as they heal.
The Lane Thomas Foundation benefits children in need of life saving transplants.
"I have three kids I have twin 13 year olds and an 11 year old so the thought if they were ever going through a tragedy like this that there is a foundation like the lane Thomas foundation that would support all of them, both financially and emotionally is such a great thing and it's such a great way for all of us to give back. " said Paul West.
On Friday night, building of trees, from three feet to a towering blue 15 footer-all decked in blue for the little boy, are for the foundation.

From Carousel horses, to boxing.
The public can bid on them. There's also hundreds of silent auction items.
Helping build a future in the name of a boy, and in the spirit of helping each other.
