The Creighton baseball team won in walk-off fashion for the 2nd time in the last three days as the Jays beat Villanova on Sunday, 2-1. CU's 10th straight win is the nation's longest active streak. The Jays improved to 18-16 overall and 8-1 in BIG EAST play.
The game was tied up at one run a piece when Clark Brinkman's grounder was misplayed by Villanova, allowing Nicholas Ortega to score from third.
Creighton's starting pitcher Keith Rogalla threw eight innings and tied a career-high in strikeouts with 10 while allowing just four hits and one run. Reliever David Gerber came in during the ninth inning to earn the win.
Isaac Collins led the Bluejay offense for the second-straight game with three hits, while Bryce Only tallied two hits as well.
Up next for the Jays is a home matchup with Wichita State Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
