Creighton drops a spot in the AP Top 25 after loss to Xavier

The Creighton men's basketball team stayed in the Associated Press Top 25 poll this week, but just barely. The Jays came into their game against Xavier ranked No. 22, and after the wild ending and 82-80 loss, Creighton dropped to No. 23.

The Jays also took down then No. 16, now No. 22 Butler last week which might have been enough to keep them in the polls. Creighton has now been ranked for 82 weeks in program history including all 14 polls this season.

Three other BIG EAST teams made the cut this week, including No. 2 Villanova, No. 22 Butler and No. 24 Xavier. Creighton has a light week with just one game at Depaul Saturday at 1 p.m.
