The Creighton men's basketball team announced its non-conference schedule Tuesday morning.
Head coach Greg McDermott kicks off his eighth season with an exhibition games against UNC Pembroke Nov. 3. The Bluejays regular-season starts Nov. 10 with a home game against Yale.
Creighton will participate in the 2017 Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City, Mo. Nov. 20 and 21st. The tournament teams include Baylor, UCLA, Creighton and Wisconsin.
Creighton will take on Gonzaga Dec. 1 in Spokane, Wash. The Bulldogs have been to 19 straight NCAA Tournaments and own the nation's best record since 2010-2011.
The Bluejays' final five non-conference games will be at home, starting on Dec. 5th against North Dakota. McDermott made his coaching debut at UND as an assistant from 1989-94.
Creighton will meet in-state rival Nebraska for the 41st straight season Dec. 9 in Omaha.The Bluejays have won six straight games by double-digits against the Huskers.
"It's a great schedule," said McDermott. "Maybe one of the most difficult ones that we've had in my tenure at Creighton."

The BIG EAST Conference schedule will be a double round-robin, giving Creighton 12 more games against NCAA Tournament competition. Those games are expected to be released with start times and television coverage in early September.
