The No.23 Creighton men's soccer team scored a pair of goals in the first six minutes of the game and never looked back, shutting out Tulsa 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA tournament at Morrison Stadium Thursday night.
Mitch LaGro headed home the first goal of the match off a corner kick in the third minutes. Then, Myles Englis took advantage of some nice ball movement to score the Jays' second goal of the game in the sixth minute. Finally, Ricky Lopez-Espin added on CU's third goal of the match during the 68th minute.
Creighton advances to the second round, where they will face the 16-seed Kentucky on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
