The Nebraska baseball team won their home opener Tuesday afternoon over Northern Colorado, 8-2.
Junior DH Scott Schreiber went 2-4 at the plate for the Huskers with 4 RBI's on the afternoon. Senior CF Jake Meyers went 3-5 with 2 stolen bases for Nebraska.
Sophomore Matt Waldron picked up the win for Nebraska, tossing 5 innings and giving up just 2 earned runs with 4 K's. Fellow sophomores Robbie Palkert and Jake McSteen provided four innings of scoreless relief for the Huskers.
The Huskers are back in action Wednesday against Northern Colorado with a 1:35 first pitch at Hawks Field.
