Nebraska was taken to the woodshed by No. 9 Ohio State in Memorial Stadium Saturday night as the Buckeyes came out on top 56-14.

J.T. Barrett was too much for the Blackshirts defense to handle as he completed 27 of his 33 passes for 325 yards and five passing touchdowns. He also added 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground.

The bright spot for the Huskers was wide receiver J.D. Spielman, who caught 11 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Tanner Lee completed 23 of his 38 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.

Ohio State tallied 41 first downs, the most by any Nebraska opponent in school history. The Buckeyes scored a touchdown on eight straight drives.

Nebraska was held to under 50 yards rushing. Devine Ozigbo was the Huskers leading rusher with nine carries for 24 yards.

The Huskers will have a much needed bye week next week before hitting the road to take on Purdue Oct. 28.
