Nebraska senior walk-on Matt Jarzynka received a special surprise in his locker room Wednesday, a Blackshirt.

The Loup City-native has only played once for the Huskers in 2018 but the coaching staff handed one out to him for the last practice of 2018.

Coach Frost wants to continue the legendary walk-on program and build it up in the seasons to come.

"We're going to keep building the walk-on program," Frost said. "It's one thing just to have numbers on a team, it's another to have guys that we genuinely feel like can contribute to this program, that we're going to work with and build, that can come not just players but starters on this football team. If there's a young man that we think can be a great player here we're going to try and get him in this program."
