LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) — Wisconsin beats Nebraska, 37-21.

The Huskers forced a 3 and out to start the 2nd half and drove down inside the Badgers 25 but Barret Pickering missed a 41 yard field goal attempt.

The Badgers responded with a nine play, 76 yard drive capped off by a Jonathan Taylor 11 yard touchdown run to make it a 20 point game.

NU quickly came back with a touchdown of its own on a 23 yard touchdown pass from Adrian Martinez to J.D. Spielman to cut the deficit to 34-21.

In the 2nd quarter after a Martinez interception, the Badgers pushed their lead to 24-14 on a one yard touchdown run by Jonathan Taylor.

Wisconsin added a field goal late in the 2nd quarter to push the lead to 13.

NU took a 14-10 lead on a 2 yard touchdown run by Adrian Martinez.

But the Badgers quickly regained it on a 55 yard touchdown pass from Jack Coan to A.J. Taylor.

The Huskers actually outrushed the Badgers, 119-64, in the first quarter & still held the rushing advantage at half, 151-149. Dedrick Mills accounted for 112 of those on 13 first half carries. Taylor, meanwhile for Wisconsin, rushed for 106 yards on 14 carries in the first half.

NU took an early 7-0 advantage with 5:27 remaining the first quarter thanks to a 12 yard touchdown run by Dedrick Mills, which came on a direct snap. The scoring drive featured a 26 yard run by Adrian Martinez on an impressive-looking option play by the sophomore quarterback.

But the Badgers quickly answered with a 89 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Aron Cruickshank.

The Big Red tried to respond by moving into Wisconsin territory but Dedrick Mills was stopped on a 4th & 3 at the 33.

The Badgers fumbled on their first drive, which was recovered by Lamar Jackson.

NU played without receiver Wan'Dale Robinson & defensive linemen Darrion Daniels & Carlos Davis.

Earlier in the day, Nebraska announced a two year extension for head coach Scott Frost.
