Nebraska has been dealing with injuries since the first couple of weeks of the season, and this week is no different. Last weekend against Purdue, a couple of offensive linemen were hobbled which many believe led to the Huskers inability to run the ball.
Riley said he admires left tackle Nick Gates and right tackle David Knevel for playing despite injuries and thinks both will play. However, he said backups like Cole Conrad will need to be ready to play.
Tight end Cethan Carter has missed time since the Illinois game, and Riley said he has been ruled out for the game against Wisconsin.
Nebraska's already stacked wide receiver corps improves this week with the return of Jordan Westerkamp. This will be Westerkamp's first game-action since injuring his back against Illinois.
