UPDATE: According to Nebraska medical personnel, quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. was briefly knocked unconscious. He was moving all extremities and talking while on the field. He is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Tommy Armstrong Jr. has been carted off the field on a stretcher after his head hit the turf. We will update as we learn more information on the extent of the injury as it is available.
