Costello, a 6-foot-1, 180 pound guard, started all four years at Elkhorn South, where he averaged 18.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game as a senior. He earned first-team all state honors in Class B from both the Lincoln Journal Star and the Omaha World Herald this year.
Costello had a pair of 30-point games this winter, including seven games where he hit at least four 3-pointers. One of those games saw Costello hit 9-of-11 from 3-point range.
The Huskers still have two open scholarships for this fall.
