The Nebraska basketball team will not be home for Thanksgiving next season. The Huskers were one of the eight teams named to the 2017 AdvoCare Invitational in Florida over Thanksgiving weekend next season.
Nebraska, along with Long Beach State, Marist, Missouri, Nebraska, Oregon State, St. John’s, UCF and West Virginia, will head to the HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports near Orlando, Florida for the tournament Nov. 23, 24 and 26, 2017.
Three of the eight teams participating in the Advocare Invitational played in postseason tournaments last season. The potential matchup between the Missouri Tigers and the Huskers could have some fans excited, as the rivalry game has not taken place since Nebraska joined the Big Ten.
