Nebraska basketball falls to Iowa 93-84 in Top 25 showdown

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KMTV) — The No. 24 Nebraska basketball team lost on the road at No. 25 Iowa 93-84, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Senior Issac Copeland led the Huskers with 24 points and six rebounds in 30 minutes of play. Senior James Palmer Jr. added 20 points and four assists while junior forward Isaiah Roby finished with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Nebraska shot four of 23 from behind the three point line and allowed 93 points, the most an opponent has scored all season.

With the loss Nebraska drops to 11-4 on the season and 1-3 in Big Ten play. The Huskers haven't won a game in Iowa City since 2012.

The Big Red will take on Penn State Thursday evening in the team's first home game of 2019. Tip off against the Nittany Lions is set for 8 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
