Nebraska basketball takes down Louisiana Tech

The Nebraska basketball team came away with a non-conference win over Louisiana Tech at Pinnacle Bank Arena Saturday night.

Tai Webster and Jack McVeigh lead the Huskers to a 65-54 win, each with a career night. Webster led all scorers with a career-high 23 points, while McVeigh scored a career-high 21 points.The first 17 points Webster scored all came in the first half, while 16 of the points McVeigh scored all came in the second half. 

Michael Jacobsen and Edward Morrow Jr. each collected six rebounds, while McVeigh grabbed five. The Huskers shot just 31% from the field in the first half, but turned things around in the second half shooting 45.5%. 

Up next, the Huskers will take on Dayton in the DIRECTV Wooden Legacy tournament in Fullerton, California at 7:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
