Nebraska softball had to cancel its series finale Sunday afternoon against Purdue. But this past Friday, the Huskers swept the Boilermakers in a doubleheader at Bowlin Stadium.
But this weekend's series went beyond the softball diamond and included family ties. Now in her first year as a volunteer assistant coach at Purdue, Tatum Edwards returned to her alma mater, where she was a two-time All-American and helped lead the Huskers to their last appearance in the Women's College World Series back in 2013.
However this weekend, Tatum Edwards wasn't just facing her former school, but also her younger sister, Tristen. The younger Edwards is a sophomore infielder/outfielder for Nebraska.
