Huskers women's basketball take on Mavericks

The Nebraska women's basketball team hosts Omaha Tuesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. 

The Huskers' (2-1) are coming off of a 62-59 win over defending Mountain West Conference champion Colorado State. All-Big Ten sophomore forward Jessica Shepard led Nebraska with 24 points, along with 13 rebounds for her 12th career double-double. Huskers' Nicae Eliely produced six points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals while Hannah Whitish tallied 10 points.

The Mavericks (1-2) recently captured its first win of the season with a 85-57 victory over North Texas. Omaha's Michaela Dapprich led the Mavs with 26 points and seven rebounds. Mikaela Shaw just short of a triple-double with 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, along with two steals and two blocks. Junior Remy Davenport added 11 points, four boards and three assists.
