The Omaha women's basketball team led a majority of the game but Nebraska knocked down a season-high 12 three-pointers to shoot its way back from a 12-point deficit in the first quarter. Nebraska fought it's way back to a 66-58 win over the Mavericks. The Huskers' went 8-of-25 inside the arc and 12-for-31 from beyond.
Huskers' Jessica Shepard scored a team-high 17 points and nine rebounds. She hit 6-of-12 shots from the field. Hannah Whitish finished with 10 points and a career-high five assists. Nebraska's Allie Havers tallied nine points and a season-high 11 rebounds.
Mavericks' Mikaela Shaw led Omaha with a game-high 19 points on 6-of-16 shooting from the field while Michaela Dapprich scored 18 points.

Nebraska (3-1) travels to Las Vegas for the South Point Shootout, the Huskers will open the tournament against Washington State Friday at 8 p.m. CT.
