The Nebraska women's soccer team advances in the NCAA Tournament after a 3-0 win over South Dakota State Friday at Barbara Hibner Stadium.
After no score in 110 minutes in the first round of the NCAA Tournament the Huskers went 3-for-4 in the penalty kick shootout. The winning goals were made by Courtney Claassen, Caroline Flynn and Sydney Miramontez.
Freshman goalkeeper Aubrei Corder earned her sixth consecutive shutout and 11th overall this season. She collected four saves in regulation before denying all three Jackrabbit attempts in the penalty kick shootout.
The Huskers advance to the NCAA Tournament second round where they will meet up with No. 4 UCLA at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown, West Virginia Friday, November 18th at 5 p.m.
